A ritual for beginning before you feel ready
There’s a moment right before you change course when you can feel yourself hesitate.
You start overthinking. Weighing options.Trying to decide if it’s the “right” move.
But that’s not actually the question.
The real question is:
What would Jennifer do?
(#WWJD, obviously.)
She doesn’t pause to analyze her hunger. She doesn’t soften her desire to make it more acceptable. She doesn’t ask for permission.
She is instinct. She is desire. She is hunger.
And yes—she eats boys.
Not because she’s evil. Because it’s in her nature.
And she doesn’t apologize for it.
This is the energy you’re being invited into.

A candle (any kind)
A quiet moment (5–10 minutes is enough)

A mirror

Sit with your candle unlit.
Take a slow breath in…and a long exhale out…
Let your shoulders drop.Let your body soften.
You don’t need to be in a perfect mindset.You just need to be present enough to hear yourself.
🔥 Step 2: Light the flame
As you light the candle, say:
“I choose to begin.I trust my desire.I move without waiting.”
Say it slowly.Let it land in your body—not just your mind.
Watch the flame for a few seconds.
This is your focus.Your decision.Your direction.
🖤 Step 3: Tell yourself the truth
Ask yourself, gently but directly:
What am I ready to start—now?
Not someday.Not when everything is figured out.
Now.
The first answer that comes is the one.
You may feel a slight resistance, a tightening, or a “but…” arise.
That’s okay.
Notice it—and let it pass.
Come back to the first answer.
🧿 Step 4: Choose one thing
This is where the ritual becomes real.

Let the candle represent that choice:

intentional

Place your hand on your heart or your center.
Say:
“I trust myself to follow through.”
Let that land.

⚡ Step 6: Take immediate action
Before the day ends, take one tangible step.
Not a mental step.A real one.
Send the message.Make the decision.Start the thing.Block the time.
It can be small—but it must be real.
This is what signals to your body:

Blow out the candle slowly.
